The footprints of dinaussauro da Praia Grande, Colares in Town, are located 50 meters from the beach of Praia Grande on an almost vertical slab of the staircase leading to the houses on the far left of the beach. Cretaceous footprints are lower, with about 110 to 115 million years.
According to studies, the deposit of Praia Grande hasvery deep footprints corresponding to at least two types of animals - herbivores and carnivores - a total of 66 tracks, 55 of which spread over 11 tracks that appear to have been made by bipedal animals, with the remainder apparently isolated.
