The Cruzeiro de São João is located in Castelo Branco parish. It is next to the City Park and Jardim do Paço.
It was erected in the early 16th century before a church with the same denomination, a temple that was demolished in the early twentieth century.
The Cruzeiro is in granite, of vegetalista decoration, presents / displays a Cross of Christ. At the base, octagonal, human figures were carved, chained, in a possible allusion to temptation.
It is classified as a National Monument.

The Crucifix of the Basilica of Santo Cristo, located in the Outeiro Parish is implanted in the terreiro frontier to the Basilica, but it must be prior to the construction of the temple. The cruise certainly dates back to the seventeenth century, witnessing the external religious experience, which gave the spaces and paths a sacred dimension.
On five steps, the base of the cruise rises, of square section, with moldings in all the faces decorated by rosettes. The column, striated and wider in the lower third and fish scale in the remaining two-thirds, is crowned by the Corinthian capital bearing a cross with the figure of Christ.

Visit the Pedestrian Walk of Serra da Nogueira - Nogueira (Bragança)

The route starts in Sortes, next to the Mother Church, then taking the Tua Line in the direction of Remisquedo. When you reach the stop, follow the N15 to reach the tunnel that crosses the IP4. Once again on a rural road, the route goes to Cruzeiro das Almas. A few meters later, we pass by a dive fountain and we are in the center of the village. There is an opportunity to visit the Parish Church of Mós (baroque style), and a community Forge. The return to Sortes is in the direction of the Paçó de Sortes, passing in the vicinity of a quarry. When you leave the Paçó de Sortes, the route will once again cross the IP4, following rural roads until you return to the Tua line, which will take you back to Sortes.
Already in the final stretch, it passes through the building of the old railway station of Sortes (the second station of the Line of the Tua, in the sense Bragança - Tua), which was recently renovated and currently serves as the seat of Parish Council.
