Visit the Milestone - Mealhada

The Milestone, located in the Mealhada City Hall building, is limestone with 1.79m in height and 1.39m in circumference, in which inscriptions are visible. It belonged to the Roman period and indicated the location of the Roman road ("Olisipo / Bracara", section "Aeminium-Cale") that linked Lisbon to Braga and passed in Mealhada.

Visit the Church of Sant'Ana - Mealhada

The Church of Sant'Ana, located in the Parish of Mealhada, was built in 1716, for this church was used from previous chapels the basin of the pulpit, an image of Santa Ana carved in stone, dating from the late fifteenth century or principles from the 16th century. The building in 1755, was repaired for having suffered enough with the earthquake. Primitively, it was built by a single body, which in the following century was joined by the bell tower making the Chapel more imposing and denoting pretensions to the future church.
