Visit the Prado Bridge - São Paio de Merelim

The Prado Bridge is located on the River Cávado, between the parishes of São Paio de Merelim, and the county of Vila Verde.

It was built in 1617, under the reign of Philip I of Portugal, with the traces of the architect António de Castro and is classified as a National Monument since 1910.

Visit the Bridge of Bico - Palmeira (Braga)

Ponte do Bico was built during the Fontismo between 1863 and 1867. The bridge was thus known to be at the mouth of the Man River and the river Cávado, in the place known for centuries as Vau do Bico. It allowed the connection in this place between the counties of Braga (parish of Palmeira), Amares and Vila Verde. It has eight arches with full belts, robustíssimos, reinforced by cylindrical talhamares.

The Cávado River, makes the northern border of the Municipality of Braga, with the neighboring counties of Amares and Vila Verde. In this route there are several bridges that justify a visit, as well as several river beaches.
