Visit the Castle Peak - Porto Santo

The Castle Peak, located in Porto Santo, is about 437 meters, a steep hill-shaped volcano of Pico do Castelo is a real challenge for hikers. Its name comes from being the place where the inhabitants took shelter during the raids of pirates in past centuries, although there never was a castle. The peak is covered with conifers and even has a rooftop terrace and a place for picnics.

The Serra do Geres is the second highest point in mainland Portugal with its peak at 1548 meters altitude in the Snowy Peak. It is part of the mountain Peneda-Geres.

The massif of the Serra do Geres is included in the area of the Peneda-Geres.
This mountain is the Alto do Borrageiro, with 1430 meters of altitude. Part of its area is located in the County Land Bouro.
