Visit the Aqueduct de Setúbal - Saint Julian (Setúbal)

The Aqueduct of Setúbal, or Arches Aqueduct is an aqueduct which had its beginnings in the Ark Water (Alferrara), and ended at the center of Setubal.
Built in the late fifteenth century, under King John II, extended out from the source, to the city walls.
The water left the city, however, depend on this aqueduct.
The urban expansion of the city reduced the remains to some sections of the aqueduct, one of which is located in the city center, in the Parish of St. Julian.
The aqueduct is classified as a cultural heritage building.

Visit the Aqueduct of Pegões - Carregueira

The Aqueduct of Pegões, located in the Town of Carregueira on the Vale da Ribeira de Pegões, is one of the largest and most impressive aqueducts Portuguese.
It was built at the end of the century. And early sixteenth century. XVII, at the behest of Philip II, to supply water to the Convent of Christ.
The Aqueduct of Pegões has a total length of about 5 to 6 km and larger section reaches a maximum height of 30 meters. Here the building is composed of two rows of arches, and the round top and low-arched. Originally the aqueduct was supplied by three mothers waterline.
The aqueduct can be explored on foot along its top, as there is a platform that comes with gutter water. This course is a unique experience, since the other aqueducts Portuguese can not be crossed freely.

Visit the Aqueduct of Serra do Pilar - Oliveira do Douro (Vila Nova de Gaia)

The Aqueduct of Serra do Pilar, located in the Town of Oliveira do Douro, is eighteenth-century building, also known as "Aqueduct Sardão"and was built in 1720 by José Leitão Benedict in order to carry water from a spring in Vilar de Swallow, for his palace of Quinta do Sardão. The aqueduct consists of twenty-three arches full and large, supported by tall pillars of different heights, following the uneven terrain.

Visit Aqueduct Granja do Marquês - Pero Pinheiro

The Aqueduct of Granja do Marquês originates in the town of Morelena Parish Pero Pinheiro, and supplies the Quinta da Granja do Marquês, current Air Base No. 1. It develops in the NE / SO a total length of 1900 meters (1500 m to the surface and 400 m underground). The longest section is composed of a basket handle arches resting on pillars of rectangular section. The construction of this hydraulic structure is linked to the campaign of improvements carried out in 1770 at Quinta da Granja do Marquês, by the Marquis of Pombal.
