Visit the Arch Bishop's House - Castelo Branco

As usual at the time, the floors of the house were divided according to their specific functions. The ground floor housed the rooms for the services of the house, the noble floor housed the living space.

The chapel, located in one of the side wings, was integrated to the whole of the house in a harmonious way, not disturbing the symmetry of the building. The chapel is invoking Our Lady of Pilar.

It has been classified as Property of Public Interest since 1977.
