Casa de Coucinheiro is located in the Parish of Palmeira. Before the present there was another house built in the seventeenth century by order of Captain-master Leonardo Esteves de Amorim Cerqueira Barbosa, which was destroyed by a fire. The present stone of arms, already belonged to the previous one.
