Visit Rio Nabão - Ansião

The river Nabão, one of the most beautiful Portuguese rivers, a tributary of the river Zêzere and has a length of about 66 km. Born a few hundred meters from the town center Ansião and crosses part of the county before entering the county of Ourém, being fed by the waters of several streams that gather there.

Visit the Pit of the Cauldron - Baroque

The Pit of the Cauldron located in the Town of Baroque, is distributed to both banks of the river Zêzere a point in its middle course in this meandering veers west. This stretch of river is characterized by its sinuosity, resulting from crossing a valley between the mountains of the Onion (northwest) and Gardunha (southeast). It is this area that the engravings of Baroque.

The margins are very rugged and rocky, appearing bluish shale outcrops in irregular shapes and very curvy. Both riverbanks have significant gaps, due to the hills.
