The Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is alocated in the municipalities of Sintra and Cascais. Extends from the area of Sintra to the areas of Guincho beach and Cabo da Roca. It is divided into two distinct areas: the agricultural zone in order to produce fruit and wine, and the coastal area with beaches, cliffs and dunes.
In this park there is a primeval forest with almost all species of Quercus, including the oak-oak and Pyrenean oak. There are eucalyptus, maritime pine, poplars, willows and acacias.
In terms of wildlife, the park has birds of prey such as peregrine falcon, the screech owl, the hawk, the goshawk and eagle-of-Bonelli. There are seabirds like gulls and petrels. Reptiles and amphibians are part ofthe salamander-yellow spots, the midwife toad, the newt and viper-horned-de-orange belly. They are mammals like foxes, moles and hedgehogs.
