Visit Trench Campo - Campo do Geres

Medieval period, near mile XXIX, are indelible traces of the Trench Field during that historical period served as a defense of Portuguese streak of hostile invasion. The people of Campo de Geres had an obligation to defend human Portela.
What remained for centuries, and this people serrano successfully resisted all attacks of the invaders, mainly because of his courage and toughness, but also to the exceptional geographical configuration of the territory.
In the vicinity of Trench Field are the ruins of a structure identified as House of parts that served as host of men and war garrisons.
