The Church of Our Lady Help located in the village of Help (Peniche) have been built in the sixteenth century, although it has few traces of that era.
It features tiles with scenes from the life of the Virgin and a carved altar from the late seventeenth century. There are still a number of wooden sculptures that decorate the altars with golden engravings.
In the first half of the seventeenth century proceeded to finish with tile in the chancel. In 1717 began the refurbishment of the interior, sponsored by the brotherhoods of Our Lady of Help and St. Pedro Gonçalves Telmo: an increase in the axial direction of the ship, construction of the port beam, baptistery, painting of the ceiling, flooring tiles, altars woodwork, banisters web.
