Visit the Almalaguês Mother Church

The Almalaguês Mother Church is a 16th and 18th century Baroque building, restored in the 20th century.
In the nave there are two chapels, the Sacrament, with three sections and decorated with coffins, and the one of the baptistery. Of note is the remarkable sculptural, eighteenth-century sacred way and, in the baptismal chapel, the Crucified Christ in wood, of baroque nature.

From the Torre de Bera Castle, located in the parish of Almalaguês, only ruins remain. The century castle XII was a Celtic fortification.

Visit the Chapel of St. Peter - Almalaguês

The Chapel of St. Peter, located in the Parish of Almalaguês, was built in the early 18th century, today in an advanced state of degradation, the Chapel of St. Peter is an example of regional baroque architecture.
It has only one nave, with wooden ceiling, and has three altarpieces. Mention should be made of the quality of the façade's outline and, in the interior, the 17th-century stone altarpiece and various sculptures from the 15th and 16th centuries.

Visit the Chapel of Our Lady of Joy - Almalaguês

The Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Alegria, located in the Parish of Almalaguês, has a longitudinal plan, consisting of a nave, a chancel and a sacristy attached to the left side. It was built in 1634, featuring features of mannerist and baroque architecture. Inside, highlight to some eighteenth century tiles that line the walls of the chancel, depicting scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary.
