Visiting the Church of Travasso - Vacar

The Church of Travasso, located in the Parish of Vacariça, dedicated to Nª Sª da Conceição, with great presence due to the prominence given by the bell tower, which stands on the central axis of the temple.
Entrance door with ogival shape, to which a circular stained glass window is superimposed. The main façade was lined with blue and white tiles.

Visit the Church of Saint Vincent - Vacar

The Church of São Vicente, located in the Parish of Vacariça, should be a construction after 1280, transition from the old Monastery of Vacariça. The church was completely reformulated between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and from this last century several architectural elements are defined, emphasizing the pulpit, of the first half of thousand and seven hundred. This is quite decorated with acanthus leaves and an eagle in the stone basin. From the carvings, mention is made of the rich environment that transpires from the covering of the body of the church, divided with forty eighteenth-century boxes with decorated frames and the clearings painted with scenes of the life of Christ and of Our Lady, but of an artisan character, as well as the retables Of the images they are referenced: the statue of S. Vicente, in stone, of the middle of century XVI; the Virgin of the Rosary with the Child, in wood, of century XVIII; and a Cross of the Factory, an ancient relic in low relief of silver, which is undoubtedly the richest of these sites.
