The Fonte do Melo, located in the parish of Pampilhosa, was inaugurated in 1925, greatly benefiting the population. In its aspect is a simple font, without style flair.
It is made up only of an arch that has been dug in its entirety, forming a niche, made of cement imitating cork, surmounted by a small coat of arms with the initials CM (City Hall) and a tombstone with the name of "Fonte do Melo" the name of the donor.
In order to bring this water from the Mine to the place of the source in good sanitation, a conduit of sandstone shackles, later in fibro-cement, was built to replace the old discovered gutters that once brought it from the source, irrigate the Quinta do Melo.
