Visit the Coimbra Major Seminary Building - Almedina (Coimbra)

The Coimbra Major Seminary Building, located in the Parish of Almedina, is a sui generis building given its Italian architecture and featuring several spaces that are worth a close visit.
Noteworthy is the Sagrada Familia church, with its dome, considered one of the most beautiful in the country; the reliquary chapel of S. Miguel; the Old Library, with more than 9,000 books from 1507 to 1800; the episcopal chambers; the tile room; and the Mondego Balcony, which has a magnificent view over the city. Noteworthy is a woodcut by Monsignor Nunes Pereira, a canvas by the famous painter Grão Vasco and the 18th century pipe organ, built in 1762 by João Fontana de Maquera, which falls under the category of “Iberian organs” and which has 1500 tubes.

Visit the Cargaleiro Museum - Castelo Branco

The Cargaleiro Museum, located in the parish of Castelo Branco, has as its main objective the dissemination, study and conservation of the pieces that make up the collection of the Art Collection of the Manuel Cargaleiro Foundation. A goal that is translated into the promotion and organization of temporary or temporary exhibitions of long duration.
Consisting of two contiguous buildings - Solar dos Cavaleiros, a mansion built in the 18th century. XVIII, and a contemporary building - Cargaleiro Museum is located in the heart of the historical area of ​​the city, in the vicinity of Praça de Camões, popularly known as Praça Velha. The Cargaleiro Museum complements its offer with a set of services, with emphasis on the Educational Service, Art Library / Documentary Center and Shop, as well as a small outdoor amphitheater, with the conditions to host the most diverse activities and shows.

Visit the Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library - São Lázaro (Braga)

The Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library, located in the parish of São Lázaro, officially opened its doors to the public in 2004. The building was designed by the architect Mário Abreu, in order to preserve and expose the archaeological remains found in the place.
This space has three reading rooms for adults with a capacity of 200 seats, a children's reading room with 65 seats and an autonomous space specially designed for children's activities with 30 seats. A plastic expression room for group activities complements the space for the younger audience.
It also has an auditorium with 160 seats, an exhibition room and a bar with ample space where, in comfortable sofas, you can have your coffee while reading a newspaper, a magazine or a book, complete the equipment for the public.
