The Killing of Pelourinho, situated in the parish of Kill, was erected following the grant of a charter to this town by D. Manuel II in 1514 and is located in a small square in the center of town.The Pelourinho is composed of a punch octagonal with three steps on which stands the column of octagonal shaft and smooth, with a square base. The column is surmounted by a body consisting of a truncated pyramid inverted octagonal base on which rests a cage topped by a second trunk of an octagonal pyramid, surmounted by a sphere.
