The Pônsul river crosses the counties of Idanha-a-Nova, where it is born, and Castelo Branco. It is a tributary of the right bank of the river Tagus and has its mouth in the Parish of Malpica do Tejo, tracing the border between the counties of Castelo Branco and Vila Velha de Ródão.

Visit the Ocreza River - Castelo Branco

The river Ocreza is born on the southern slope of Serra da Gardunha, crosses several Parishes of the Municipality of Castelo Branco among which, the Parish of Castelo Branco itself.
The area of the Ocreza basin is mostly in the region of Beira Interior Sul and in the district of Castelo Branco. The river is born exactly on the border of the counties of Fundão and Castelo Branco and develops most of its course in the area of the latter.

Visit the Living Science Center of Bragança - (Sé) Bragança

The Living Science Center of Bragança, located in the parish of Sé, is part of the network of Centros Ciência Viva, focused on energy and environmental issues.
The center is divided into two buildings: an old hydroelectric power station on the left bank of the Fervença river and the so-called "Casa da Seda" and an old hydraulic mill. The "Casa da Seda" incorporates air conditioning systems that maximize natural heating and cooling capacity.
The permanent exhibitions are presented in modules, dedicated to energy, the environment, recycling and silk production.

Visit the Rio Baceiro - Espinhoela

The river Baceiro (river Gamoneda in Spain) is an international river that is born in Spain passes through several villages of the counties of Vinhais and Bragança, among which Espinhosela. The Baceiro River is a tributary of the left bank of the Tuela River.
Its valley has lime trees that remain green throughout the year, feed several mills, has in its stretch some river beaches and bridges, between the Ponte de Castrelos and the mouth in the Tuela enters a valley where there is one of the largest spots of country oak.
