Visit the Pelourinho Ansião

The Pillory Ansião was erected in the year 1686 in front of the manor of the Counts of Ericeira (later, this building was tapped him to run the town hall) in central Vil.

Pelourinho is the octagonal shaft, with the arms of the Count of Ericeira.

In the early twentieth century, the pillory was repaired and moved from that location to the place where it is today, near the Street Fund.
