Armona Island is a Portuguese island belongs to the town ofOlhão, being integrated in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa.
The island consists of beaches facing the Ria Formosa and facingthe sea. It has a campground and cabins for hire, is also possible to rent private houses.
Fans of water sports are also on the island of Armona a goodplace to do them. Canoeing, sailing and scuba diving are just some examples. The fishing is also quite popular.
Apart from the inhabited part of the island, there is a section of a more wild, where you can find, for example, chameleons and otherexamples of local fauna.
