The Aqueduct of Setúbal, or Arches Aqueduct is an aqueduct which had its beginnings in the Ark Water (Alferrara), and ended at the center of Setubal.
Built in the late fifteenth century, under King John II, extended out from the source, to the city walls.
The water left the city, however, depend on this aqueduct.
The urban expansion of the city reduced the remains to some sections of the aqueduct, one of which is located in the city center, in the Parish of St. Julian.
The aqueduct is classified as a cultural heritage building.
