The archaeological site of Cabeço Foot D'Erra, located in the Town of Erra, has confirmed that traces the settlement of populations from the Paleolithic period. Found also objects dating from the Chalcolithic period, around 3000 years before Christ. Some of these objects, according to expert opinion, are between 2800 and 1500 BC It is presumed that this site existed at the time a town and its inhabitants lived on agriculture and pastoralism.
