Visit the Aravil River - Monforte da Beira

The Aravil River flows from northeast to southwest. It is a tributary of the right bank of the Tagus River and part of its route divides the municipalities of Castelo Branco, in the parish of Monforte da Beira, and Idanha-a-Nova. The flow has torrential characteristics, being little significant during the summer, almost ceasing to run, to reach a few meters in the rainy season.
