The Pisco dam is located in the parish of São Vicente da Beira. It is located on the São Vicente stream. The dam was designed in 1966 and was commissioned in 1968.
It is a landfill dam. It has a height of 24.5 m above the foundation and a crowning length of 260 m (width 8 m). The volume of the dam is 58,000 m³. It has a maximum discharge capacity of 1.41 (bottom discharge) + 43 (flood discharger) m³ / s.
The dam reservoir has a floodable surface of 0.198 km² and has a total capacity of 1.4 Mio. m³. The water levels in the reservoir are: 498.7 meters NPA, 499.7 meters NMC (Maximum Flood Level) and 485.7 meters NME (Minimum Exploration Level)
