The prehistoric rock engravings, located in the Baroque Town were discovered on June 1, 2003, Diamond Girl and Belarmino Lopes detected on the right bank Zêzere (Parish of Baroque), more specifically in the Pit of the Cauldron.
This finding is of great importance not only for the Municipality of Fundão but to the knowledge of Prehistory at the European level, since these engravings dating from the Paleolithic ("old stone age) and have about 15,000 years.
