The Ponte de Frieira on the Vale de Moinhos river, is located in Macedo do Mato parish. It goes back to the fifteenth century.
The bridge was for many years the only access to the village of Sanceriz.
This Bridge is a stone masonry construction, features an easel board set in five perfect back arches, the middle one being the largest. It has a sea-cutter downstream. The guards, in stone, show signs of restoration. The pavement is of the Portuguese sidewalk type.
It has been classified as Property of Municipal Interest since 1990.
