The Pedestrian Path of Carrazedo, known as the Biodiversity Station of Carrazedo is a linear course of 1.6 km, beginning in the village of Carrazedo and 8 informative panels scattered along the way. The panels work as a field guide, with pictures and comments on common plants and animals to watch.
The course belongs to the Natura 2000 Montesinho-Nogueira site. At the beginning of the road you cross a series of agricultural fields, entering an extensive area of oak forest. During the course you can observe more than half of the daytime butterfly species that fly in Portugal.
