The Church of Pombeiro da Beira was built in the same place where there was an ancient, having been inaugurated on December 25, 1622.
With a simple architecture, the interior is large with a "three-columned aisles" with five arches, per band, slightly elevated, from the first arch, the sides of the main door, leaning on the wall where the latter forms the cruise and all at the center, supported on four columns, which were also made in red stone. These aspects, as well as the magnificent high altar of the well attest to the greatness of yore Pombeiro.
