The traditional village of Abbots Field house is a typical rural village in the mountains, preserved in time where nature is generous and the village was marked by history. The village of Abbots Camp, which originated on the farm of the same name founded Cistercian monks of the monastery of Santa Maria de Bouro. The core fabric of the population is supplemented with granaries, barns, corrals and small gardens, all linked / separate from each other by walls of loose stone, forming a compact and concentrated, typical mountain settlement of the Northwest Portuguese. The streets are partially paved with irregular slabs of granite, with some parts of its route covered by trellises of vines.
