Visit the Church of Saint Martin (Sintra)


The Parish Church of Saint Martin (Sintra) has existed since 1283. It is a temple of Romanesque-Gothic origin, although today a good example of architecture of the century. XVIII, well established in the field and holds an austere facade of the late-eighteenth century provided a porch.Its collection, the highlights are three excellent sixteenth century paintings depicting the life of Saint Martin of Dume, which decorate the walls of the nave, which, of course, would integrate the original altarpiece of mid-century.

The Matrix also preserves a fine collection of eighteenth-century imaginary of silverware and garments, in addition to the fine structural traces three hundred.
